On September 18, 2018 Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) organized field visit to multi-store building at #112 Agmashenebeli avenue in Kutaisi where, together with locals, IDPs are resettled and workshop with the representatives of the state Legal Aid Service (LAS).

On November 22, 2017, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) representatives visited three IDP collective centers in Tbilisi in order to learn about the housing and living conditions of IDPs.

On 14th and 21st July, 2017, Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) organized two workshops with State Legal Aid Service (LAS) in Kutaisi and Zugdidi. During the workshops the practitioner lawyers from both agencies exchanged information and experience of working on legal cases of internally displaced persons (IDPs). The topics discussed mainly related to the court practice on IDP status and resettlement issues, the work of resettlement commission, amendments to order #320, etc. The workshops were organized in the framework on “Free Legal Aid for IDPs in Georgia” project funded by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
