On January 23, 2018 the Consortium facilitated the discussion on HOA issues within Imedi TV show. In particular, the guests – coordinator of Technical Assistance Center Coordinator and elderly head of HOA within Saburtalo district - spoke about strengthening the role of HOAs, their existence as an independent institutions and their importance. The event was conducted within the framework of the “Home Owners Associations (HOAs) as a Driving Force of the Modern City” project.
Technical Assistance Center (TAC) has been established in Saburtalo District Gamgeoba to provide information and advice to homeowners to improve awareness in the field of housing management. The project is funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with Sustainable Development Center – Remissia, Charity Humanitarian Centre “Abkhazeti" (CHCA) and the German NGO - Housing Initiative for Eastern Europe (IWO).

From September 12-14, 2017 LAG Consortium participated in the international workshop in Odessa, Ukraine which was conducted within the framework of “HOME - The way forward for reforms in the housing sector: empowering grass-root homeowners associations in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine” project. The invited guests presented the effective functioning mechanisms of the home-owners associations and discussed achieved results. Representatives of Technical Assistance Center (TAC) from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine exchanged their experiences, achievements, developed materials, and discuss the difficulties.

On September 3, 2017, the Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) conducted training for the heads of Home Owners Associations on the legal and financial procedures for functioning of Home Owners Associations and energy efficient measures. The training took place in Saburtalo District Gamgeoba. The training was conducted within the framework of the “Home Owners Associations (HOAs) as a Driving Force of the Modern City” project funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with Sustainable Development Center – Remissia, Charity Humanitarian Centre “Abkhazeti" (CHCA) and the German NGO - Housing Initiative for Eastern Europe (IWO). On 24 July, 2017, Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) within the framework of the “Home Owners Associations (HOAs) as a Driving Force of the Modern City” project hosted Mr. Ali Dastgeer, international experts deployed by EU for monitoring of the above project. In the course of the visit, Mr. Dastgeer was informed about the project activities and met the head of Saburtalo District Gamgeoba, as well as the heads of several home-owners associations and get familiar with the work of newly established HOAs throughout the project. Furthermore, he visited the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) established in Saburtalo District Gamgeoba in order to provide information and advice to homeowners to improve awareness in the field of housing management.
