Social Programs Foundation (SPF)

SPF has been a partner within NRC’s ICLA programme since its start in 2002 and by the virtue of being the oldest partner NGO based in the capital Tbilisi, is recognized as the most experienced NGO within the Consortium. Apart from the NMFA/NRC project, SPF also used to be funded by UNHCR and the EU delegation in Georgia, where it acted as the grant recipient and a lead agency for the remaining Consortium partners. Currently, SPF employs nine staff and has previously implemented similar legal aid project funded by DRC, a research project with the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre and IDP youth oriented projects with EC Directorate on Culture and Education and European Youth Foundation. SPF has a solid material and technical base and has been consistently invited by MRA to contribute to various working groups and commissions dealing with IDP issues.

Organization Future Prosperity House (OFPH)

OFPH has been an NRC ICLA partner since June 2007 and is also focused on provision of free legal aid. OFPH currently employs ten staff and used to implement the projects funded by NMFA/NRC, UNHCR, and the EU delegation in Georgia. The organizational base is in Kutaisi, Imereti region, with outreach to the whole Imereti and Guria regions. In the past, OFPH also implemented an ICLA-like legal aid project funded by DRC. OFPH has a solid material and technical base and maintains close cooperation with the local MRA office, and other stakeholders in the area of operation.

Legal Protection Institute (LPI)

LPI has been an NRC ICLA partner since January 2006 and specializes on delivery of free legal aid in Samegrelo and Adjara regions of West Georgia. Based in Zugdidi, Samegrelo, LPI employs eight staff and has previously implemented a legal aid project similar to ICLA funded by DRC. Apart from the NMFA/NRC funding, LPI used to implement projects funded by UNHCR and the EU delegation in Georgia. LPI has all necessary technical capacity to maintain a legal office and perform frequent outreach to IDP collective centers (CCs). LPI is well networked locally with a strong cooperation with the local MRA office and other counterparts. LPI has a good standing as one of the leading NGOs working on internal displacement issues in Samegrelo region of Georgia.

Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF)

KRDF was established in December 2008 with the support of NRC Akhmeta office as a part of the NRC exit strategy from the refugee assistance project in the Pankisi valley. KRDF partly consist of former NRC employees and has been working with NRC in the framework of the ICLA project since January 2009. Under the ICLA project KRDF has employed 2 lawyers assisting refugees and IDPs in the Kakheti region. KRDF implements a large UNHCR project involving a number of community and livelihood projects in the region and has a diverse pool of smaller donors including several embassies operating in Georgia.
