On August 29-30, 2018 Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) organized workshops for the representatives of the Community Based Organizations (CBOs) in Tbilisi and Kutaisi. The workshops were participated by the CBOs operating in Rustavi, Gardabani, Tskaltubo and Kopitnari IDP settlements and by the representatives of the international organization “Save the Children”

On January 23 and 25, 2018 the Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) organized trainings for schools facilitators on “Women’s rights, gender equality and equity”. 10 schools were selected in targeted locations and the trainings will be conducted for targeted students as well. The event was organized within “Supporting Human Rights and Protection of Internally Displaced People in Georgia” project. The goal of the project is to address human rights and protection challenges of Internally Displaced Persons living in Rustavi, Gardabani, Tskaltubo and Kopitnari communities through providing effective protection, referral, advocacy and capacity building services. The project is implemented by the Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) in partnership with Save the Children (SC) and funded by the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (BPRM).

On December 22, 2017 the Consortium Legal Aid Georgia (LAG) together with Save the Children hosted the visit of the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (BPRM) in IDP settlement in Kopitnari. During the meeting with IDPs, the guests were informed about the issues faced by the residents and their needs.

On December 21, 2017, the Consortium Legal Aid Georgia’s (LAG) psycho-social specialist conducted a group meeting with children in Kopitnari IDP settlement. The meeting consisted of interactive exercises; in particular, children prepared the greetings cards and Christmas trees with support of project staff.
